The Uncivil War

Infants armed and ready for battle,
In one hand a gun,
In the other a rattle,
They wander blindly in this life we've mad for them,
Although they're buds not yet ready to leave the stem,
You back this madness with your soul,
Though you know it will never make you whole,
So go now and fight along side them,
Surrender you life,
Die for the crystalized hate,
It won't calm your inner strife.
Your foolish reasons will get you no where,
You'll spill your blood and no one's gonna care,
You can try to run but you won't get far,
As long as you fight in this uncivil war.
Children dying for people who hate peace,
Bitterness and angry feelings,
Just won't be released,
They kill just to protect their own lives,
Even though with every breath they inhale knives,
You bear your throat just to keep this from dying,
Though it would be better for you to give up trying,
So go now and shed innocent blood,
Give up your heart,
Die for a dead cause,
You won't have a new start.
Your foolish reasons will get you no where,
You'll spill your blood and no one's gonna care,
You can try to run but you won't get far,
As long as you fight in this uncivil war.

Very personal and real. You are a gifted writer. And this one really reminds me of the Congo, because in the eastern part the rebel armies will kidnap children and force them to kill thier own loved ones and then tell them that because they have done that they are worthless and the only value they can have is to serve in the same army that caused all their pain.

Thank you! ^_^ That's actually what I wrote it about. I saw a picture of a really cute five year old kid in an army helmet and walking around with a gun, and I almost started crying. :/ So I had to write something about it...
