The lady and the Tiger

Locked somewhere in the eternity that is my heart,
Rages a battle that never should have start,
In the midst of this chaos,
Where do I stand?
Am I sinking on raging waters,
Or sitting safely on dry land?
How can I decide?
On which side do I fight?
Do I fight for the darkness,
Or give my heart to the light?
My darkness in its self is beautiful,
But which would he choose?
Would his body go to the lady,
Or to the tiger, his life would he lose?

The lady or the tiger,
The lady or the tiger,
Oh, how they daunt,
The lady or the tiger,
The lady or the tiger,
But which would he want?

I walk into the arena and take my fine seat,
The cheers are drowned only by my own heartbeat,
In the midst of this chaos,
How can I stand?
I jump into the water,
I won’t stay on dry land!
How can I decide?
On which side should I fight?
Do I watch him spill his blood,
Or scream as he gives his plight?
My love is altogether beautiful,
So which would he choose?
Would his body go to the lady.
Or to the tiger, his life would he lose?

The lady or the tiger,
The lady or the tiger,
Oh, how they taunt!
The lady or the tiger,
The lady or the tiger,
But which would he want?

I hate the lady,
I hate the tiger,
I hate what lies behind the door,
I hate my father,
I hate the arena,
I hate myself even more,

The lady or the tiger,
The lady or the tiger,
Oh, how they taunt!
The lady or the tiger,
The lady or the tiger…

But which would you want?
